The hardwood is easily ignited by the hot rod at the bottom of the fire pot, allowing for effortless grill starting. Ensure continuous fire with a Traeger grill replacement hot rod. This hot rod is located at the bottom of the firepot and is compatible with older Traeger models (not compatible with Ironwood/Timberline/Pro series 2019 and newer). For proper installation, only 1/8-1/4 inch should be exposed in the firepot.
